I’m Youssef, a physical chemistry researcher. My work sits at the intersection of Physics, chemistry and computation. I build numerical models of physical phenomena that help understand and optimize energy systems like batteries, fuel cells, electrolyzers, photovoltaics, and more.
I also have other interests, as the rest of this blog will make embarrassingly clear. This is where I keep notes on things I find interesting enough to write down, books, ideas and newly learned concepts. It has no fixed audience and no particular agenda, which is probably why it contains both a derivation of the QED Lagrangian and strong opinions about Yuval Noah Harari.
